Historical Significance of Jagannath Rath Yatra !

According to legend, Rath Yatra began when Lord Balabhadra expressed his desire to visit his birthplace, leading to the grand procession.
The centerpiece of Rath Yatra is the procession of the deities on elaborately decorated chariots called Rathas.
Skilled artisans meticulously craft the Rathas using traditional techniques, making them exquisite works of art. The chariots are pulled by devotees through the streets of Puri, accompanied by chanting, music, and a joyous atmosphere.
